Here In Britain I have to say that a lot of us have a bit of a dislike going when it comes to Traffic Wardens, is this because they enjoy seeing other people suffer. However many councils here in the UK have got another method of catching you parking illegally that is unfair and has several flaws.

Ghost Ticketing is quite a new idea but it is when the local council use their CCTV cameras and catch someone that is parked illegally and send the ticket off that way. One reason that a council is looking to do this is because they are going be making more money from it as a traffic warden can only be at one location at a time, a camera is there 24/7.

Why is this a bad thing?

One of the major flaws to this seems to come if the person in the car is disabled? The councils already doing this have already stated that it is almost impossible to see if the person driving has a disabled badge or not which means many disabled people could actually be receiving parking fines for no reason. Surely this would just mean more hassle for the person that is diabled, it is not fair at all.

Aren’t These Meant For Crime Prevention?

Surely with all of these cameras looking out for parked cars they are going to be missing crimes that occur. This is not a good thing at all and it will be interesting to see if the crime rate rockets because of this scheme.

Fair

Using this method means that it is very hard for people to argue against the ticket as they will not even know they have the ticket until it gets popped through the letterbox. Basically this means that people are going to forget the date and time that this happened, no excuses in mind, not fair is it really.

All of this is not going to help you when looking for bad credit car loans as well as cheap lease cars. Parking tickets do also not help when looking for specific deals like gap insurance.
